Questions And Answers On The Diet Solutions Programme

Jane asks…

proof read!!!!!!!!!!!?

The television networks started early morning the same in the novel, 1984 when Physical Jerks appeared in the telescreens. All the major morning shows like Good Morning America are focusing to entertain their women audience rather than inform them is happening in the United States. In the beginning of Good Morning America, they started to show the top gossip stories like celebrities news, and then they take like three minutes in actual news. In the every morning show, they created a segment where a specialized person with the top ten items who one need to purchase. In addition, in every morning shows have part of the show that they are reporting outside and most of time they have vehicle Manufacturer Company promoting their vehicle. All the commercials during the morning shows are mostly about women’s clothing, new diet solutions programs, etc. In addition, the anchor of the morning show needs to look in one way. For example, most of the male anchors need be tall, dark hair and the same go the female. The female anchors need to be beautiful.

Maggzz answers:

Since proofread generally means to search for spelling errors, you can do that yourself. If you’re asking about the content I’d suggest you stop using the word “they” as it’s throughout your paragraph and using it sounds accusatory. In addition, I’d eliminate the word “jerk”. When you say “in addition” it sounds like you’re doing a police report or something. It would be good for us to know why you have prepared this report.

Daniel asks…

Are Сalories Good or Bad?

Q. Is calorie a bad word?

A. No, it’s not bad—just misunderstood! Most people who use the word calorie simply don’t know what it means. Also, in my experience, most people to go pale at the mere mention of the word. Based on those facts alone, I would eliminate calorie from the English vocabulary if I could.

Q. Why is calorie such a misunderstood word?

A. The American public has been told, time and time again, that people who consume more calories than their bodies burn will gain weight. As I explain in The Diet Solution: Start Eating and Start Living, this statement is only partially true. All calories are not created equal; calories consumed from healthy foods and unhealthy foods are quite different.

Q. What exactly is a calorie, then?

A. According to Merriam-Webster’s Collegiate Dictionary (11th edition), a calorie is “a unit equivalent to the large calorie expressing heat-producing or energy-producing value in food when oxidized in the body.” In plain English, a calorie is a unit of energy released from the food you eat to power the body.

Q. How are calories “burned”?

A. The body needs energy from food—calories—to perform many functions, the most obvious of which are physical activity and exercise. However, the body also requires energy to function at the most basic level: to breathe, digest food, and maintain organs and systems.

Q. How many calories should I eat each day?

A. The short answer is “enough.” The calories you consume must provide enough energy for your body to perform all necessary functions and activities—and bring about optimum health. The long answer is that the number of calories needed varies from person to person and depends on weight, foods consumed, sleep, stress and activity levels, age, and a long list of other factors that affect metabolism. In The Diet Solution: Start Eating and Start Living, I provide a calorie equation to help you estimate, according to these factors, how many calories you should consume to lose weight or maintain weight. It also includes charts to help you choose the right sources of those calories to support your efforts.

Q. Is it possible to eat too few calories?

A. Believe it or not, yes! The most serious problem with low-calorie diets is that although they may bring about weight loss, they also can cause serious health problems. One common side effect of low-calorie diets is muscle breakdown, which can occur when the body doesn’t consume enough calories from protein. Especially vulnerable is the heart, a muscular organ. If a person does not consume an adequate amount of calories each day, the heart muscle begins to break down, possibly leading to serious cardiac conditions (e.g., cardiac atrophy).

Q. What are the consequences of following low-calorie diets off and on over time?

A. Low-calorie diets typically do not supply enough energy to keep organs and systems healthy. In effect, they can lead to malnourishment. For clients who have repeatedly followed such diets, I recommend high-calorie meal plans that will provide their organs with adequate fuel to repair themselves and regain healthy function. Most of my clients are surprised, at first, to see how much food they can consume on a healthy weight-loss diet—not to mention the high level of health that they can achieve.

Q. Hey, wait—didn’t you say that you don’t like the word calorie? Then why does the Diet Solution Program suggest calculating calorie requirements?

A. In the Diet Solution Program, calorie calculation is simply a means to an end. You use the ideal number of calories that results from the equation to determine the correct number of servings of each food type for each meal. That’s it—from that point on, you can forget about counting calories!

Q. If I don’t count calories, then how will I control my eating habits?

A. Use the Allowable Servings Guide in The Diet Solution: Start Eating and Start Living to plan meals. However, over time, you will learn how to meet your body’s nutritional needs without referring to the servings guide. Humans are born with the ability to “know” when the body has received enough nourishment and when it needs more. My professional experience indicates that, unfortunately, most yo-yo dieters and other people who have battled weight problems don’t know how to “listen” to the body’s cues in response to the foods and portions they consume. The good news is that this ability can be (re)learned.

Q. What do you mean by “listen” to my body?

A. The Diet Solution Program is a lifestyle shift that teaches you how to determine the best foods and portions for your metabolic type. Even after just days on the plan, you will learn to pay attention to how you feel after eating. For many people, this experience of “listening” to the body will be new. However, by letting your body be your guide, you will learn how to eat your way to optimum health.

Write the opinion…

Maggzz answers:

My opinion is, you didn’t ask a question. Without calories you would die, so they can be both good and bad. The right amount = Good, too much = Bad.

Helena asks…

Good Carb or Bad Carb: Whole Wheat and Whole Grain?

According to the Diet Solution Program whole wheat bread is considered a “bad” carb (a carb that helps your body store fat, not burn it). Is this true? Because online when I google good versus bad carbs they all consider whole wheat a “good” carb. And also the program says that whole grain and whole wheat pasta are a “bad” carb…is that true?

If you disagree, could you explain why so I can understand the difference and why.
Or could it be that certain brands may say “whole grain” or “whole wheat” but not actually be scientifically/health-wise considered that to your body?

Also, are there other types of breads that are good carbs that help burn fat? What about like sourdough or sprouted grain bread?

Maggzz answers:

There does appear much opposing information. The theory would be that white flour has been stripped of the bran, whereas, whole wheat flour has bran. That would make it a good carb., as it would burn slower.

To skirt the issue, don’t have any bread that you don’t make yourself. The same is true for pasta. Or just eliminate these products altogether. Sourdough bread is bread that is made from yeast in the air, and is an entire process. Actually, if you bake with yeast, there is a strain of yeast in the air of the kitchen. So, you would just be obtaining that yeast, not the strain from San Francisco.

Regarding labels, the label might say wheat flour or whole wheat flour. Without white flour, it is hard to get the bread to rise. So, the shelf breads do have white flour. They may call it wheat flour as its source is wheat. If it says, whole grain, then, what portion is the whole grain? None of these, per se, burn fat. What burns fat is cardiovascular fitness.

The purpose of the grain is for roughage or fiber and Vitamin B. Some people have an intolerance to wheat or wheat and oats. An eating plan, heavy on prepackaged products, won’t help burn fat. Whole grain bread can be made at home if gluten is added. It is a rough bread, and made, not in a bread pan, but on a baking sheet. To sprout grains, you need a jar, cheese cloth, water, and rinse completely daily. Whole grain pasta from the market, has white flour in it, or the taste will be too strong. You could experiment in making your own pasta at home as well.

Anyway, one dietary expert will say one thing, and another, something completely different. Since, I cleared my cabinets of carbohydrates, I have lost weight.

Elizabeth asks…

Does the program “The Diet Solution” actually work?

i’m trying to lose some pounds and i started searching and i found some information. but now i’m confused because i saw this video:

http://www.thedietsolutionprogram.com/burnfatg.aspx

it says really weird things and i don’t know what to believe!
please help me understand what’s the best way to lose belly fat.
by the way i’m female, 5’5 and 127 pounds if that helps.

Maggzz answers:

Well Isabel De Los Rios (creator of the diet solution) seems to have legitimate credentials as a certified nutritionist. From what i gathered she is the real deal. All I can find is good reviews about this program. What I can tell you for sure from what I have found out is that this program is geared towards a long term healthy lifestyle. Apparently, she lives by this system. Yes you are provided with the diet, but it goes in hand with exercise.

Dieting alone may not give you the effects you desire and just exercising might not either. There is no guarantee both will let you lose pounds or belly fat, but you will not know by sitting around and doing nothing (not to say that you are). Try looking up some simple exercises you can do daily and coming up with a diet plan for yourself on your own. If you ever feel the need to break your diet try having 1 meal a week of what you love to compensate for not having it as often as you like. The diet solution will help you towards feeling and living a healthier life although the results may not show as soon as you like. Basically it all depends on the effort you put into losing pounds. You should not feel pressured into using this program alone there are a lot of others out there. The diet solution won’t have you starve yourself or buy foods that they make in order to lose weight though. But yeah, there is nothing better than coming up with your own solution that you are satisfied with. There are some reviews about the diet solution below in the resource box if you are interested. Just believe in yourself!

Wayne asks…

Teen Health!……..?

I am a teenage girl I’m 14. i want to loose weight for high school. I’m sick of hating how I look. I want to be happy. What do I need to do? I’m confused with all the diet solutions because I never know if it applies to TEENS or not. I know we are different from adults. I’m tired of not knowing what to eat and how to exercise. I want to know exactly what to eat i don’t care if i hate it. Whatever. I want to know how I can get good workout. I just want to be happy. I’m so tired of hating my self. Im 124 pounds. I just bought this diet program called the Diet solutions and everything i thought was healthy isn’t like they said wheat bread turns to sugar in your body and that sprouted grain breads are. good i just don’t know what to do.

Maggzz answers:

Its important to know that humans thrive on a diet high in
>wholegrain cereals, wholemeal breads, brown rice, wholegrain pasta and jacket potatoes.
>every type of beans,
>fruits (watermelon, pear, chopped pineapple, kiwi, strawberries, figs, peach, grapes, apricots, mango, cherries, orange segments, avocado)
>vegetables (peppers, mushrooms, celery, carrots, rhubarb, tomatoes, broccoli, lettuce, sweetcorn, spinach, peas, cauliflower, leeks, sweet potatoes, parsnips, asparagus, squash, cucumber, eggplants, brussel sprouts)
>with a small amount of nuts, fish, meat, dairy and eggs.
And everything else (cake, crisps, mayo, butter, chips, fast food, pastries, fizzy drinks) is actually causing damage like excessive weight gain

exercise for 1+ hours four times a week. Join classes with friends/ siblings. Jogging, cycling to work/school/town, swimming, surfing, dancing, aerobics, a martial art, ice-skating, roller-blading, tennis, basketball, go gym, yoga, orienteering, trampolining or garden work

example healthy menu~ 4 small meals a day
~for breakfast have fruit like watermelon, pear, chopped pineapple, kiwi with wholegrain cereal eg. Granola, and low-fat milk or brown toast with topping like beans, egg, peanut butter and banana
~lunch can be a wholemeal sandwich, bagel, roll, wrap with lettuce, tomato, cucumber and either tuna, chopped avocado, hummus, ham or cheese(no butter or mayo) or a pasta and vegetable dish and if your still peckish a tub of fruit (strawberries, figs, peach, grapes, apricots) or a smoothie
~dinner should be 1/4 protein(beans, egg, meat, fish) 1/3 carb (potato, brown rice/pasta) and the rest vegetables(salad, boiled, roasted). Eg. Pepper and meatballs in tomato sauce on spaghetti, roast beef with mash, carrots and corn on the cob
~supper can be carton veg soup, bruchetta, crackers, veg sticks dipped in salsa or a yogurt and a piece of fruit eg. Mango, cherries, orange segments

drink lots of water- with every meal, carry a bottle and try get 1.5l daily
don’t drink calories- soda, milk, fruit juice, tea and coffee

if your family don’t eat the way you want to, write them a shopping list. It gets easier to follow and remember if you stick to it for a week
p.s. Regular bread is not a problemxxx

Questions And Answers On Weight Loss Planning

Ken asks…

weight loss…?

Does anyone know of a specific weight loss plan that i could follow? i’d like to lose weight and as quick as possible. by weight loss plan, i mean meal plans plus workout tips. i would like to make my legs slimmer…thanks

Maggzz answers:

The key to successful weight loss is to adopt a dietary approach that will promote lasting fat loss and by that eliminate the need for future dieting. Of course, no one dietary approach is right for everyone.

There is, however, a specific, effective, natural weight loss plan that might suit you well. It consists of eating the Paleolithic kinds of foods that our ancestors ate, which are natural for us to eat. This type of diet excludes refined or processed foods (apart from a few treats/cheats a week). It consists of eating natural foods in whatever amounts you like, so you never need be hungry

I’ve given the Internet link for the free diet, and the free fitness workout tips that accompany it, at the bottom of this answer.

If you are interested, at that same resource there are two free e-books: “How to Stop Emotional Eating” and “Meditation An Aid To Weight Loss.”

That specific dietary approach works well because our ancestors didn’t evolve eating carbohydrates. As a result, our bodies are: well equipped to consume good fats and proteins and poorly equipped to consume refined/processed carbs.

When we adopt a natural weight loss diet more like the one our Paleolithic ancestors had and begin to move (exercise) more often, as our active ancestors did, we can lose weight fairly quickly and keep the weight off.

The most comprehensive weight loss programs always combine healthy eating with the right kind of exercise because this helps to replace body fat with muscle, which in turn helps to stop body fat from returning.

You will fid the free dietary approach, free exercise program/workout tips, and the two free e-books at the Internet resource listed below.

I wish you lots of luck with your diet, Carissa.

Thomas asks…

What is good weight loss plan for a pescetarian?

I am a pescetarian, meaning that i am a vegitarian who eats fish. I am looking for a weight loss plan that will help me lose some weight while still not eating any meat other than fish. If anyone has any yummy healthy low-carb recepies that would be great too!

Maggzz answers:

I would suggest any recipe that calls for “meat” replace it with fish. I highly recommend incorporating chia seeds & ground flax seeds into your way of eating.

I make an uncooked salad with cans of food: mackerel and/or sardines, baby corn, water chestnuts, bamboo shoots, (sometimes also artichoke hearts, sweet red peppers) & add mayo & chia seed gel.

Every day you should be eating these 2 items. If you need additional fat or calories, you can add a tablespoon of virgin coconut oil to the ground flax seed cereal. I highly recommend virgin coconut oil for people needing quick energy – coconut oil is the only fat that is converted to quick energy like a carb.

Half an avocado mashed with mayo seasoned with cayenne & eaten with pork rinds or celery.

Ground flax seed (4 Tbsp) 1/4 cup water, artificial sweetener, mix in a raw egg – let sit 10 min. To absorb liquid, put some cream cheese in the middle & nuke 2 min for daily fiber needs. Flax seed should be eaten daily even in induction.

The first 2 weeks, you can have several cups of salad a day – with avocado/mayo dressing is my fav. Jicama, cucumber, celery & radish marinated in sesame oil & hot pepper flakes with rice wine vinegar & artificial sweetener. Make a stir fry with Bok Choy, bean sprouts, bamboo shoots, celery, mushrooms, shirataki noodles. I love eggs & could eat deviled eggs every day. You can smother omelets & meats with mushrooms, peppers & cheese. Celery sticks are great crunch and can be eaten with dips (avocado/mayo/cayenne) & tuna salads. I love my rotisserie & it makes meats tasty. I’ll cube up meat mix in a couple of raw eggs add cheese & broccoli with cayenne powder & nuke 2 minutes for instant meal.

After 2 week, you add 5 grams of carbs per day every week & add greater variety of non starchy vegetables. Change your mindset – adapt what you like to eat to low carb -
replace bread with lettuce
replace pasta with cabbage
replace rice with cauliflower
replace potatoes with brocolli
Cabbage makes a good pasta substitute. Make lasagna with blanched cabbage leaves & thinly fried eggplant instead of noodles. Sugar free pasta sauce over fried cabbage. My fav is chicken cacciatore, I add greens & flaxseed for body & add pizza toppings too. Alfredo sauce is also low carb.

I make a lot of shredded cabbage & mayo or fried cabbage if I’m a bit more ambitious.

Kim Chee is fermented cabbage & one of the healthiest foods. You can make a huge batch & it will sit in refrigerator fine for a long time.

I make huge batches of food & freeze most of it. Go into the forums for recipes – I was shocked that fried “rice” made with grated cauliflower tasted like it’s name sake – faux mashed “taters” made with cauliflower & cream cheese – “potato” salad using cauliflower instead. Shirataki noodles are traditional in Japanese sukiyaki & low carb

Chia seeds sound expensive but 1# will make 10# food – Amazon.com has couple lbs. For $16 shipped to you. I buy mine in bulk for $5# with free shipping at getchia.com

Faux tapioca – 2 cups of water, 5 scoops of low carb whey protein powder, stir together & add cup of chia seeds, after they have started to absorb the water, add in 2 cans of coconut milk (or cream & added water) & artificial sweetener if you like & mix it all in. Cream a pkg. Of cream cheese into a can of pumpkin & add for pumpkin pie pudding.

I make a raw porridge out of low carb whey powder & water, I add ground flax seeds, chia seeds, sunflower seeds, almonds, coconut milk, tahini (ground sesame seeds) & raw egg. All seeds & nuts are raw & soaked to germinate them.

(berries are lowest glycemic) Cheesecake – strawberry ice cream (frozen berries, cream, a stick blender) – i eat lots of fish for snack (fish “steaks” or mackerel in tins are favs)- olives

Mike asks…

Weight Loss?

What is a good weight loss plan for a person that is not that active.

Maggzz answers:

Eat less and become more active. No, but seriously, avoid soda, diet or otherwise. Eat several small meals a day. Keep your metabolism going by giving into cravings with healthy snacks. Bring your lunch to work so you don’t go on a Buffalo Wild Wings binge with your co-workers.

Caroline asks…

What is a balanced vegan diet plan for weight loss?

I am a female vegan, 5’7 and 135 pounds. I am not overweight, but I would like to lose about 5 pounds, maybe a little more. I need a good balanced diet plan or at least some meal suggestions. So if you have a good weight loss plan please write it in a Breakfast, lunch, dinner, and snack format pleeeeeease! Thank you!

Maggzz answers:

In general, you want to stay in the produce aisle. You need some grain and legume for protein but only in controlled portions.

Breakfast: Oatmeal (from the round box) with fresh fruit and some almond milk to drink is nutrient rich and satisfying for your hunger, and yummy! Add some molasses to your oatmeal if you want some extra iron.

Lunch: A huge mixed green salad with crunchy raw veggies. Try to get a variety of colors to increase nutrition. Dress your salad with olive oil and lemon juice, salt and pepper. You can prep some a grain or some pasta if you like, and dump it into your salad if you like…will make it more filling.

Dinner: How bout some rice and lentils? You can cook them in water or veggie stock. Add a fresh carrot, some cabbage or broccoli, some bay leaves, some Italian seasoning, some salt and pepper. This can be either gloppy like mac and cheese, or you can thin it out for a soup.

Snacks: fruit and veggie snacks are always okay. You can also enjoy a glass of non-dairy milk, or a cup of tea.

There are also all kind of meat substitute products. I don’t know their nutrition values and calories because I don’t eat them.

In my opinion, that is a tiny amount of weight. You could get rid of that weight by cutting way back on your fav junk food, or by working out a little more. You would not need to get on a very strict meal plan at all.

Lisa asks…

Maggzz answers:

Congratulations on deciding to improve your health! A healthy diet does wonders for not only your body shape but your energy level, your skin, your ability to sleep well, and your resistance to illness and serious diseases such as heart disease and cancer.

Exercise is relatively simple: although I’m sure people will disagree with me, I am a strong believer that it doesn’t really matter what time of the day you exercise, so long as you do it and you enjoy it. You don’t need special equipment or clothes or even a lot of time to get into a solid exercise regime that produces results. Some of the best exercises can be done in your bedroom. I suggest doing 15-20 minutes in the morning and 15-20 minutes in the evening before you go to bed. I personally like to exercise my upper body with a resistance band I bought for $4, but you don’t need that. Deep stretches, leg lifts, crunches, Pilates, push ups, and lunges are great, easy, fast exercises you can do that feel good and produce fast results. You can go online and Google whatever kind of exercise you want for your particular taste. If you want to shape up your legs and butt, for example, there’s a great website that has some good simple exercises. (I don’t agree with a lot of their diet tips, but the exercises are good: http://www.bestdietfinder.com/HowToExercises.html) Pilates is a great all-over workout that can really change the shape of your body quickly. You can either go to a class to learn some techniques or just rent a DVD through Netflix or any other rental place. Also, a great way to get in some cardio and improve your health is to get into the habit of making body movement an all-day activity. Don’t look for the nearest parking space – park far away and walk quickly to the store. Don’t take elevators – find the stairwell and hurry up the stairs two at a time. If you get on an escalator, make it a habit to walk up the escalator instead of just standing. Fire the gardener and mow the lawn and weed. There are many activities you can do that do not require a gym membership, but will also take off pounds quickly.

As far as diet is concerned, there are a million different opinions out there, but hopefully most of them follow one important theme: refined sugars and hydrogenated oils are bad, complex carbohydrates such as fiber, and lean protein, are great. Try to have fun with it and find good foods that you enjoy, so you fill up on those and then you won’t crave the unhealthy foods. Good foods include nuts, fish, brightly-colored vegetables and fruits, beans, anything high in fiber, and lots of lots of hydration. If you can stand salmon, Dr. Perricone’s 5-day salmon diet gave me surprising results – the high content of Omega-3 fatty acids gave me a ton of energy and I felt amazing! Another thing that nutritionists are focusing on are the multitude of health benefits from Omega-3 fatty acids, and the oils from walnuts, almonds, onions, and garlic. I have even heard to have a handful of raw almonds an hour before a meal, to partially fill up on fiber and also to release some hormone that helps you to lose weight. You will find that when you start to eat a diet rich in protein (lentil soup, beans, fish, chicken, almonds, walnuts) and fiber (All-Bran cereal, celery, nuts, broccoli, other fruits/vegetables), you’ll lose your appetite for unhealthy foods. Fill up on the healthy foods with lots of water and your body’s digestive system will need to work harder to process the fiber, which will boost your metabolism!

There are more studies coming out that show that certain foods (citrus, berries) can actually break down precancerous cells, and other foods (fiber, olive/walnut/almond oils) can lower your cholesterol. I’m sure that in the next few years, more and more studies will emphasize the wonders of these foods. Popular wonder foods include spinach, blueberries, raw almonds, and wild (not farm-raised) salmon.

Bad stuff to avoid: foods with high glycemic indexes (you can find lists of these online) are usually rich in refined sugar. They will break down collagen and harden your arteries, so in turn contribute to aging skin and heart disease. They will also encourage your body to store fat, which is why a lot of people are linking the high consumption of soda to obesity. When you read the label on foods you buy, look at the amounts of sugars, proteins, and fibers. This can help you gauge the value of the food – the more protein and/or fiber, the more bang for your buck. Another VERY bad thing to avoid at all costs: margarine, ranch dressing, French fries. Any hydrogenated oil is like bacon, it will literally clog your arteries. The only oil you should have in your kitchen is olive oil. Real butter can be used, but only sparingly.

I am a strong believer that moderate exercise and a radical change in the American diet (NO more sodas and French fries!) would dramatically lower the incidences of obesity, cancer, diabetes, and heart disease, far more than any medical intervention available. That said, it’s important to look around for foods you like and enjoy preparing and eating, or it won’t work. I got lucky and found that I love salmon, eggplant, zuccini, tomatoes, and salads, and I even got used to All-Bran cereal. After a few weeks of this, I lost my taste for sugars and oily foods. Humans were designed to walk and run, and to eat lots of fruits and vegetables. The body works better this way. Refined sugars and French fry-fats are new inventions and they serve as very poor fuel for the body – avoid them and you’ll feel better.

I wish you the best of luck on your new adventure! Remember, focus on the food you find delicious, drink lots of liquids, and exercise twice a day, even if it’s just 5 push-ups, touching your toes, and 5 sit-ups – if you don’t feel like exercising, just do a little bit – often it will feel good and you will get encouraged that way. Every little counts!

Questions And Answers On Make A Diet Plan For Me

Marie asks…

who is willing to make a diet plan for me?

i weigh 150, im 5´1 and i want to get like how i was before. i used to weigh 100-105! plus, my doctor said that i had to lose weight or if not my body will grow unhealthy. please help me make a diet plan!

Maggzz answers:

I will! =)

Okay, rather than eating 3 biger meals a day, eat 5-6 smaller meals. Have a meal every 3-4 hours. This will keep your metabolism running and burning calories and fat 24/7.

Here are some examples of meals:

Meal 1: Banana and eggs with toast. No salt or pepper on the eggs. Milk to drink.
Meal 2 (snack): granola bar or something(not a lot of fat)
Meal 3: Peanut butter and jelly with water to drink.
Meal 4: (snack): something else with not a lot of fat. Likeee an apple or some type of fruit with water
Meal 5: this would be like dinner. Have a normal dinner but just a smaller portion. Water or juice to drink.
Meal 6 is optional: (like a bedtime snack): water or milk with pudding or yogurt.

Base your meals on the types of food listed above. Like for breakfast get protein and calcium, and so on.
Good luck =)

Richard asks…

How can I make a diet plan that’s not so expensive for me?

I am 5’10. I weigh 145 pounds. My goal is 130 pounds. How do I make that goal without spending a whole lot of money. I’m 14 yrs old. Thanks if you can help!

Maggzz answers:

The MOST important thing is to eat naturally..without medicines, chemicals, “starving” your self etc.

First, it would be best for you to eat as healthy as possible..this will also help you considerably to lose weight gradually and naturally..

Eat fresh fruits, vegetables, drink plenty of WATER..avoid all cokes, caffeines, smoking, alchohol etc. As these also add weight as well as they contain chemicals which disturb your natural bio rythmns as well as brain chemistry. Try not to eat too much meat, and the meat you should eat should be “lean meat” such as steamed chicken and rice, or steamed fish with rice..and vegetables,, this should be your staple diet rice and vegetables with fruits..AVOID “JUNK FOOD” and “Fast Food” as this type of food is very unhealthy, lacking in vitamins really and has plenty of fattening molecules which make one gain weight and is not good .

If you snack,, try fruits with yogurt or fruit yogurt and nuts.. Nuts are very healthy for your body .and contain proteins.

Go for walks every evening or morning or whenever you get time each day for 1 hour or 2 hours..make this somewhere you enjoy walking even if you have to drive a bit to there..and make this a daily routine..you will enjoy it once you get into it ..and it makes you feel great after..just walking for 1 hour or 2 hours.

If you do this..every day for one month ..you should lose around 10 pounds (.714 stone) per month until you get to your natural healthy weight.. Look up on the internet for an idea of what your weight for your height should be ..and when you get to this weight,,your body will look very nice and you will feel very good.

10 pounds (.714 stone ) each month in 3 months you should lose 30 pounds (2 stones, 2 pounds)..for sure…but no junk food and dont drink alcohol or smoke, dont eat junk..just healthy food with vitamins and walking 1 hour or 2 hours every day..and drink plenty of water..this is guaranteed way to lose weight naturally and for good, if you stick to this, which you should,,as it makes you feel so much more positive due to the vitamins and lack of chemicals making you feel depressed…

Btw, forgot to mention,,just in case you dont know how to really make healthy meals..buy a “food steamer” at your local deparment store..they are very cheap and work very well..as well as buy a “rice cooker” which is also very cheap..eating rice is a great way to get your necessary carbs “healthy carbs” to lose weight and has lots of natural energy inside. You can buy asian rice at most large supermarkets or if you have a local oriental market..they sale quality asian rice.. Thai or indian rice is good “jasmine rice”.. Buy corn or canola oil to sprinkle on vegetables or rice before steaming to add to taste as well as you can buy several nice spices like “cumin” or “Curry powders”, etc.just sprinkle on the vegetables before steaming to give nice taste.

Drink “Green Tea” as this is very healthy and helps burn extra fat faster…you can buy quality green tea at most oriental shops or large supermarkets as well

Chris asks…

Someone who knows what they are talking about to make me a diet plan please.?

I am 14 and around 8 stone and 5″6 i do alot of dance and i mean alot! I want to lose weight so could someone make a diet plan for me which is around 600-700 calories please which is easy to follow. Thaank you.

Maggzz answers:

I find that drinking water helps a lot in shedding weight. It isn’t so much the water but the lack of sugar that’s in drinks that does it.
I also walk wheneveTry adding “calorie burning” activities to your daily routine. Simple ones might not need that much extra time but if you then keep at it they will add up.
Maybe when you get home,,. Instead of walking in just go round the block once. Or take the stairs instead of that elevator. Once a week, skip dinner but have a piece of celery instead. Whatever you do, stick to it, then when it has become routine, add more.r I can. Walking is very good for losing weight, so is eating less,.. Try it.

Mandy asks…

my husband is overweight i wanted to make diet plans for him but he is very picky with his food?

and he also dont have time to exercise. anybody can help me with a diet plan for him

Maggzz answers:

This site may help: http://www.mypyramid.gov/

Click on My Pyramid Plan on the right-hand side and enter your husband’s information. This will help you plan meals by giving specifics on how much and what type of foods are good for a healthy diet.

Eating healthy is more important than dieting. Adding fruits and vegetables to meals can help fill your husband up.

If I take the time to slice carrots, tomatoes, cucumbers, and other fresh vegetables and put them in dishes on the table, my family will eat them.

If I take time to prepare fresh apples, grapes, strawberries, pineapples, and bananas and put them in dishes on the table, my family will eat them.

Decrease the number of unhealthy snacks (potato chips, doughnuts, soda, etc.) in your home.

Cook with olive oil instead of vegetable oil. Use spices instead of butter (chili powder is great on vegetables!).

I have a very, very picky family. I often have to prepare two separate main dishes for meals.

A typical meal at my house might be pasta and olive oil sprinkled with oregano. On the side would be sliced chicken breasts (cooked in olive oil), broccoli, and carrots. I might also add green beans or peas on the side and make sure everyone gets at least 1 cup of vegetables.

Do we ever eat unhealthy? Certainly! My homemade cheese-garlic bread with real butter, for instance; or my sour-cream caramel brownies. However, I try to limit things like this to one time weekly.

Walking is the best exercise for most people. If you have a child (one of your previous Questions said you do), put the child in a wagon or stroller and your family can take a 30-minute walk around the neighborhood. Most people can find 30 minutes out of every day for exercise. Even a 15-minute daily walk is good.

As another poster suggested, stress the link between being healthy and having good sex. People who exercise have better sex lives.

Questions And Answers On Good Food Plans To Lose Weight

Jim asks…

Is this a good food plan to loose weight?

Breakfast- 1 slice of whole grain bread without salt
Lunch- 1 hard boiled egg without the yolk
Dinner- tuna
Im 13 years old 5’3 and weigh 124 pounds i want to lose weight before school starts. It starts in like 3 weeks

Maggzz answers:

You’re attempting to starve yourself. That’s less than 250 calories per day. To answer your question, yes you would lose weight eating that way, but it would all come back quickly as soon as you start eating normally, & sometimes you gain back more than what you lost. Ask your parents for help with establishing a well balanced diet. Cut out unhealthy snacks, & join a sport this year. You might be surprised how fast weight comes off when you’re active!
Good luck!

Susan asks…

How good is this exercise plan to lose weight?

I am doing this exercise plan to lose weight. I am about 5’9″ and weigh 200 pounds. 4-5 times a week I will walk/run for about 30-35 minutes in the morning. I drink only water/some milk at times and avoid high fat/sugar/calorie foods unless it is a special occasion or something of the sort and even then I don’t take a lot. I also do some sit ups / push ups everyday and lift dumbbells, but not enough that it will add tons of pounds in muscle. Is this a good plan and how much weight do you think I could lose every month?

Maggzz answers:

To successfully lose weight, you must carry out
a plan to balance your caloric intake with exercise.
Ideally, dieting should be done by eating a nutritionally
balanced, low-calorie diet and increasing physical activity.
I found useful informations at http://bestsouthbeachdiet.info/

Richard asks…

is it a good plan to lose weight just by drinking fluids and not taking in any solid food for a few weeks.?

Maggzz answers:

That’s basically anorexia.

So no.
That’s a horrible idea. And you won’t loose weight anyway because your body will take any energy you actually get and store it as ALL fat after a bit because you’re tricking it into thinking this is your new diet, and it’s adjusting to it. It also slows your metabolism.

Steve asks…

Is this a good, healthy eating plan to lose weight?

Im trying to lose a few pounds before the bikini season. I will be doing lots of exercise aswell but onto the food

Breakfast:
1 wholeweat toast + peanut butter
1 piece of fruit
Water

Snack:
Raw carrot sticks

Lunch:
Ham/Chicken/Tuna and salad roll
Apple
Water

Snack:
1 piece of fruit

Tea:
1 wrap with lettuce + chicken
or
1 Baked Potatoe + salad + tuna
Water

Is this a good eating plan and will it help me lose weight? Also is there any sugestions to make it better or will I cut down?

Maggzz answers:

First, I would advise you to cut the peanut butter and pick a different protein source for breakfast. Fat has no real purpose in the morning as it just slows digestion, but rather is best for the evening. Also, peanut butter is not suitable for a diet because it packs a huge number of calories in a small very amount.

I also dont like your snack being just carrots/fruits because there is no protein source. This will lead to loosing more muscle than needed. What about 1% milk? This is an ideal source of carbs/protein/fat for dieting.

Next, skip the Baked Potato for dinner, and consider a Sweet Potato instead. A standard baked potato is not suited for a diet because it is a very high GI source and will pack on the pounds. Thats why bodybuilders like them by the way..

Also, ideally you need some sort of stimulant during the day to help you control your cravings. Green Tea is best, but coffee is OK I guess. If you can get in 5 to 6 cups of green tea per day, this will be more than enough to keep your cravings in check. Just make sure you drink allot of water…

Finally, I would recommend you get a good quality multi-vitamin. You do not have allot of veg. Sources in the above diet and will need a multi-vitamin to correct this.

Questions And Answers On Online Weight Loss Support

Helena asks…

Does anyone else need a weight-loss-support online buddy?

My doctor recommended it. I’m 16 and I don’t really know much about dieting, which is why I always resort to going online for help. Same thing as an online weight-loss buddy minus the support tho.

Hmm, with the emphasis your faith places on unity how about something that suggests being united in loss? Or is that too cutsey a direction? I’ll see if I can’t do better and come up with an actual suggestion rather than a general concept.

Richard asks…

Where can I find weight loss support online?

I need to lose weight to be healthier and I was wondering if there’s any free online support for people trying to lose weight healthily.

Maggzz answers:

its free and i’m so glad i joined!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!

Lynn asks…

Are there any online support groups for weight loss?

I don’t want a huge forum – it’s easy to get lost in those. I’d like to meet anywhere from 1-4 others online in a sort of weight loss support group. Any suggestions on where to find this?

Maggzz answers:

Believe it or not, the best support you’re going to find is right there in front of your monitor. Rearrange your thought processes on dieting from living to eat to eating to live. It’s not hard, just takes some time, patience, and positivity. Here’s my weightloss blog with links:

Here’s all you need to lose weight all over, look good, and get really healthy. First, you have to realize there is no quick, long lasting weight loss plan or pill that is going to do the trick. It’s purely mental. You have to learn to “Eat to live, don’t live to eat”. Sounds simple, doesn’t it? It is, if you understand that you are going to be reprogramming how you think about eating for the next few weeks. Old habits die hard, right? Not really. You get rid of bad habits by replacing them with good habits. If you learn to count your Calories, keep Calorie intake lower than output, exercise moderately, and eat only healthy food, you will lose weight. That’s a fact. All it takes is repetition. All success stories have this in common: The successful folks among us know how to be patient, persistent, and consistent. Set a goal, write it down, and stick with it. The benefits of feeling good will outweigh any sense of sacrifice you might feel about having to push away that cake and ice cream. Wayne asks…

Anyone know if there is anywhere to form an online weight loss support group?

Or would anyone on here like to start one. i think it’ll help me stay on track.

Maggzz answers:

Any of your near by hospitals or health dept should have this info. I should be posted on their web sites or even a local health food stores. It is better to have one that is in your area. My support group is my friends we are all in the same program. It does help so much to have that support. Good Luck!

Questions And Answers On Best Diet Program For Women

Thomas asks…

What is the best diet program for men and women out there?

I’m talking about a program like the 90 day workout, things like that. There are a lot of them on the market today. I was wondering which one actually works, for both men and women. (it can be separate programs). I want to get one for my fiance when my taxes get here and one for myself after I have my baby in March. This is one that I found for both men and women. How to Get A Six Pack And Lose Belly Fat Fast I’m not sure if this or any program works simply because I have not tried any. But me exercising alone doesn’t leave me with the results I want. Sure I lose a ton of weight but I want to be trim all over. I want to have endurance. Please let me know of something that is able to work all the muscles, and not create any bulges.

Maggzz answers:

Man and women should follow the same rules for diet and exercise. Don’t worry about special programs- it can be much simpler than that. The programs usually aren’t sustainable and the diet industry doesn’t want them to be. They make money out of you having to come back and try something else, right? ;)

Losing 1-2lbs a week is the best way to go. This way, you are losing mostly fat, rather than water and muscle. Faster weight loss is not better, nor is it sustainable.

Diet should be what you look at first for weight loss- this is what will enable you to drop fat. Try a balanced diet made up of mostly natural whole foods, with high protein, moderate carbs and moderate fats.

You need to know how many calories you burn- you can use an online calculator for a rough estimate. Aim for 10-20% calories fewer than you burn daily (too large a deficit will be counterproductive in the longer term).

Don’t worry about complicated diets or cutting things out. You can enjoy anything in moderation, as long as the majority of your diet is healthy.

Base your meals around:

Lean protein (e.g. Chicken, tuna, lean beef, fat-free cottage cheese, egg whites)
Wholegrains (e.g. Wholewheat bread, oats, bran cereals, rice)
Healthy fats (e.g. Nuts, seeds, olive oil, avocado, salmon, whole eggs, flaxseed)
Fruit and veg

And drink lots of water.

Second in importance to diet, is heavy resistance training- this is what will allow you to preserve muscle so you look ‘toned’ and defined once you’ve dropped the fat (rather than just a smaller version of how you look now, with the same bits you’re unhappy with). More muscle also means a higher metabolism, so you definitely want to hold on to, or increase the muscle base you have, for fat loss.

You need to work ALL your major muscle groups- you can’t spot reduce.

Try three full body workouts a week, or an upper/lower split four times a week to start off with. Focus on compound exercises such as squats, deadlifts, pull ups, rows, bench press and overhead press.

Then you can look at extras like cardio to help create a calorie deficit. But cardio is by far the least important of these three, and you can lose fat effectively without it.

Make sure you’re getting at least one rest day a week with no exercise at all.

Focus on losing inches/dress sizes rather than actual scale weight- it’s how slim you look that matters, not how little you weigh.

Graham asks…

What is the best fitness/diet plan for obese women?

I’m looking for some advice on the best weight loss exercise plan for obese women.I’m a little over 300 pounds and I’m 5’5” and only 21 I’m looking for a weight loss plan for a beginner to start with.I already know about sparkpeople.com So please any other sites with information or any diet programs that are cheap or free for beginners.

Maggzz answers:

Start slow. Doing too much at once decreases your chances of sticking to a workout plan. Try walking for 10-15 minutes at a brisk pace (you can adjust this if it is too much or too little). As this gets easier for you, increase your time by a few minutes. You want to do this most days of the week (at least 5), although it may be best to start with 3 days/week and work up from there. Set goals for yourself. For example, in one month be able to walk for 30 minutes, 4 days/week. In 2 months be able to walk for 45 minutes. As you are able to increase the time that you workout for, you will be able to burn more calories, which will help you to burn fat faster. Since you are overweight, you don’t want to do too much too quickly because this could lead to sore knees, which would discourage you from working out. Another great option, that is easy on the knees is riding a bike. Good luck! Stay positive and stick to a routine and you will get the results you want.

Shelley asks…

the best online diet program?

what are the best online diet program websites? Which ones work best for you? especially women?
Not the ones that you order food from. I want to focus on nutrition and eating healthy rather than exercising. I am going ot exercise but I do exercise better on my own pace.

Maggzz answers:

I think you’ll really like SparkPeople.com because it focuses on helping you fit healthy eating and an active lifestyle into your life (without starving yourself). And unlike eDiets & WW online SparkPeople is completely free (and has some much cooler tools like SparkTeams).

Charlie asks…

what type of diet is best reccomended for women who are overweight and need advice to lose weight?

diet programme and foods

Maggzz answers:

Homeopathic Treatment for Excessive Fat and Weight :-
PHYTOLACCA BERRY’s Mother Tincture is perhaps the safest and sure fire way of loosing excessive fat around abdomen. With Phytolacca Berry once you loose the excessive fat and weight you don’t get it back because you body takes care of itself after that and keeps you from gathering up excessive fat. It is prescribed after having a baby too, to get the tummy to loose its flab and to make it flatter and tighter. And after loosing weight with this you don’t get flabby it tightens up the flab and skin along with helping your body to shed the excessive accumulation of fat around the girth
The dosage is 15 to 20 drops of the tincture in half a cup of hot water thrice a day half hour before or after meals.
Avoid Chocolates, Coffee, Mints, Red Meat and Carbonated and Alcoholic drinks while taking Homeopathic Medicines. You have to take it for at least 30 to 45 days after that you start to feel the results.
To the best of my knowledge its the safest and the most sure fire way of loosing fat and weight and keeping it of for keeps. Excellent remedy for Obese people who cant seem to shed weight despite trying.
Homeopathic Remedies can be found at all Major Herbal Stores or could be bought on line, In most of the world Homeopathic remedies are quite cheap and easy to find and they do not need a prescription.
Take care and God Bless !

Marie asks…

A few p90x questions on diet and program for women.?

Im a 19 y/o and I just ordered p90x.
I am not necessarily looking to lose weight. I play a few sports in college, but I’m still not very physically fit. I injured my back/side in volleyball and then ended up resting too long and now my once fairly strong core is soft and weak. I have a large belly for my slight, tall frame now, thats basically the only fat I want to lose.

1.)I was just wondering if I needed to follow the diet plan in order to get good results. I eat ALOT, and my favorite foods are meat, potatoes, fruit, and basically… any junk food. : I have always eaten this way, and I used to be able to stay “skinny” with occasinal exercise.

2.)Also, I hear that alot of women do the “lean” track. Is this really the best way to go? I definately don’t mind having some muscle as a collegiate athlete.

3.) I also should be running some during this time, because one of my sports involves alot of running. How should I work this in? Will I be able to do the p90x in the morning and run at night, or vice versa?

any other tips for me?

Maggzz answers:

1. Yes, you should try to follow their nutrition plan for best results…I’ve been through the program 3x and didn’t do the nutrition part and didn’t get as good of results as I could have (I just HATE structured eating plans)…I did lose some weight though (which was my desire) and gained muscle and strength…you’ll need to eat more healthy than meat, potatos, and “junk” if you want decent results. That food may not cause you weight gain (now) but it’s also not the fuel your body needs to build muscle and get you through the workouts at peak performance…make your eating more healthy and save the “junk” as an occasional treat (permanently)…just because something doesn’t cause weight gain, doesn’t make it healthy…your body doesn’t get much benefit from a lot of that stuff (I love it too, I just know it’s not what my body needs to perform properly)…

2. I did Classic the first time, Lean Doubles the second time, and Classic the third time…Lean just takes out one strength training day (if I remember correctly) and replaces it with core work I think…

3. It’s an intense workout plan, don’t overdo…if you feel you can do it and run, then you’d be on the “doubles” plan and just going running insted of using the cardio DVD as your 2nd one of the day…give yourself a week at least of working just the program, before you decide if you want to add another workout (the workouts themselves are right about an hour, except yoga which is 90 mins).

Nancy asks…

Best diet for woman who has tried almost all of the fad diets.?

I am 22 and over the past few months I have been dealing with a great deal of stress. In the past 3 months I have gained 25 lbs. I am very short compared to the average women so any weight gain is huge on me. I have tried the NV diet for women and it only made my heart beat uncontrollable. I have tried the weight watcher’s program but the closest one to me know is over 3 hours away. I tried system 6 but now I can’t even find it anymore and that is normal since it worked really well. Right now I am trying to see if there is a diet pill that would work better for me since now I am under a lot more stress. Plus the women in my family tend to have a much slower metabolism after the age 21 so now I am there and need to find something to help in that area too. I am currently looking at SlimQuick or Orovo diet. What diets have any women used that are aimed at the reasons women gain weight and worked. I also do exercise for 30 mins cardio and 30 mins strength training. Thanks!!

Maggzz answers:

Try the diet of “eat when I am hungry and stop when I am full!!”
It’s mind over matter.. Your mind has to control your eating habits…

You have to learn how to change your eating habits and lifestyle permanently…

Find foods that are good for you that satisfy your cravings…

Pizza? – Try making your own pita pizza w/ lots of spices
Icecream? – Try frozen yogurt or frozen fat free ricotta cheese
Cookies/cakes – Everything in moderation – have 2 instead of 10

Once you commit to it – you’ll fee so much better! You won’t feel deprived or like you are suffering – You’ll fee empowered!

Nothing tastes as good as being thin feels… Just wait until you get that first feeling of… Ooh I feel thinner… It’s contagious! You’ll want it to continue

A good tool is to.. Think about what you are going to eat first… Drink a glass of water before your meal. Have your meal, and if after 20 min you are still hungry drink a glass of water. At night after dinner, have a little snack then, tell yourself “I am not going to eat after this”. Brush your teeth. If you’re hungry – have some water or tea/decaf coffee (even a diet rootbeer or diet cream soda if you’re really craving a sweetie).

The first night is the worst!! But the next morning when you wake up you will feel lean! That feeling will help motivate you the next day… You will want to maintain that lean feeling.

Good Luck

Helena asks…

What is your Favorite New Years Diet?

Like most of the women in this world, one of my resolutions is to loose weight. Mainly my baby weight from having my daughter 7months ago.
I have looked at a few diet programs, but I am wondering what diets have worked best for you?
Did you give up carbs, or sugar? Did you count calories, did you do a master cleanse?

Maggzz answers:

Don’t go on a fad diet. They DON’T work. The best “diet” that has worked for me is to eat less and move more. Even if it is taking a 30 minute walk every night..you are still moving.
Just eat healthy. You don’t have to go completely organic and stick to salads, chicken, fruits, and veggies. There are lots of healthy foods out there. 97% fat free hot dogs and a whole wheat hot dog bun isn’t what most people would define as eating healthy, but it isn’t fatty and fits into my diet so I eat it.

Buy a gym membership.
If you can’t do that then simply start jogging in the morning, or go for a 45 minute morning walk or hike. What is great about doing that is you can do it with your daughter. Put her in a stroller and go walking or jogging with her. Or have someone watch her and go on a hike with a friend. You can also ride a bike, swim, or jump rope. There are so many ways of being active and it is actually really fun. Buy dumbbells and other exercise equipment and tapes if you can’t go to a gym.

Here is a diet plan:
Eat 1,500 calories, 35 grams of fat (as little of saturated fat (the bad fat) as possible..and ZERO trans fat), about 200 grams of healthy carbs, and lots of protein. Your body burns about 1,200 calories a day just living. The number goes up when you start getting active. So if you start moving around more you will burn more than you consume.
Don’t go on a low carb diet. Your body NEEDS carbs..they are your bodies main source of fuel. Want to know why people lose so much weight so fast on a low carb diet? Because they are losing water weight not fat. When they eat a normal diet they will gain all that weight back. Eat complex carbs from whole wheat products, fruits, and vegetables.
You can have sugar on a diet but try to restrict it as much as possible. Try to get only about 10 grams of granulated sugar in a day. Don’t worry about natural sugar from dairy products, fruits, and vegetables.
After a few weeks of losing weight (like when you hit a 15 pound weight loss mark) you could start having a splurge day once a week where you eat something you are craving. Most people do this because it is motivating, it doesn’t affect your weight if it is just one day, and it helps keep you from binging.
Make yummy healthy food. SparkRecipes has a lot of good healthy recipes..they also have the nutrition facts included with them.

You can replace a lot of things with healthy options. Fat free milk and cheese instead of the full fat version. Egg beaters or egg whites (egg beaters taste better) instead of eggs. Fat free cream cheese and whole wheat bagels instead of full fat cream cheese and regular bagels. Look around at the grocery store and you will see that there are lots of healthy options.

You don’t need to do some ridiculous diet like low-carb, pickle diet, grape fruit diet, etc..
Just move more and eat healthy. Having a healthy lifestyle can be fun.

I hope I helped :) Good luck!

Rachel asks…

i really want to lose at least 15-25 lbs before school starts what is the best diet for a 201lbs 17 year old .?

i am a women that wants to lose weight but i have a BIG problem…. i have absolutely NO money to buy an excellent program. HEEEELLLLPPPPP!!!!!!

Maggzz answers:

You will lose more body fat eating protein and fat (don’t eat protein alone) than not eating AT ALL. To lose weight fast eat all you want but nothing but meat, eggs, healthy oils, mayo, butter and half an avocado a day (you’ll need added potassium). Keep the calories high and the fat percentage high, at least 65% of calories. Adding in green vegetables & some cheese will continue weight loss but at a slower pace.

If you starve yourself by lowering calories lower than are needed for the body to function, your body will freak out and will want to store every ounce in case it doesn’t get nourished again. You need to give it adequate nourishment so it doesn’t slow your metabolism down to adjust for lower calories.

Simple carbohydrates (sugar, flour, bread, cereal, pasta, potatoes, rice) triggers insulin which can store the calories you eat into fat. The more protein you eat the more the fat burning hormone glucagon is released. The more carbohydrate you eat the more the fat storage hormone insulin is released.

Simple carbs are addictive and can be disastrous to our health. The best way to break the addiction is NO carbs for 3 days. Make a huge batch of deviled eggs and eat one every time you want “something” have huge omelets for breakfast, with bacon, a lil onion, peppers, mushrooms & cheese. Pork chops for lunch. Get pork rinds and eat them with tuna salad. Steak for dinner. Make a huge sugar free cheese cake for dessert. Eat so much you won’t feel deprived of anything. By the fourth day, your addiction will be gone and you can start making healthy choices.

High insulin levels unbalance other hormones. Controlling your insulin level will balance out other hormones & allow human growth hormone (HGH) to be produced naturally so you will gain lean muscle even without exercise. Any exercise will greatly increase your muscle mass with high HGH levels.

Once you get near your goal, you start adding 5 carbs every 3 days til you gain weight, then you subtract 10 carbs. That would give you your personal carb level (everyone is different and it depends on how active you are.) As long as you remain <9 carbs per hour, you will maintain insulin control, and shouldn't gain weight. Many people gain weight on high carb, then switch to low carb to lose weight & then are shocked when they return to high carb that they gain weight. Many people can return to moderate carb levels but very few can really eat all they want of sugar and maintain weight or health.

Dr.Atkins was a cardiologist, low carb was a health plan easier sold as a "diet" Read any of his books for easily understandable science. Lutz "Life without Bread" & Taubes "Good calorie, bad calorie" are excellent books that dispel all the nutrition myths.

Reducing body fat and increasing muscle mass will have you in awesome shape in no time. Good luck!

The Diet Solution Program – What I Found Out

First of all, let me tell you I am a big girl, (Not as big as I used to be) but I’ve always been broad and big-boned, even as a young girl. My weight fluctuates a lot and I don’t carry my weight well. Therefore, I’ve tried lots of diet programs and diet plans through the years.
Some helped, most didn’t. I had struggled most of my life with my looks and my self-esteem. Felt like a fat cow in a bikini. Always wearing the dreaded “granny” bathing suit at the beach. Always having to cover up my stretch marks and felt ashamed. I felt like my boyfriend wasn’t attracted to me and I was having all these negative thoughts about myself and I just couldn’t take it anymore. I had ENOUGH. On the verge of tears and mad as hell, I went on a mission.
I set out to find the ONE program that would hopefully, finally, work for me. I don’t like to exercise and I love to cook, so that made it harder for me to find the diet program that I felt was tailor-made for me.
I spent days and hours and more days online searching for that perfect diet plan…then I found The Diet Solution Program and I am here to tell you..

it changed my life.

The meal plans and diet program was developed by Isabel De Los Rios, a certified nutritionist and exercise specialist who has helped over 25,000 people all over the world and I was hoping to make it 25,001. Her website said that she had a cutting edge and completely different approach that set her apart from the rest of the diet programs. That got my attention. I am a unique person and I needed a unique diet. I then read the testimonies and I started feeling a little glimmer of excitement inside of me. So, I immediately started doing research on this Isabel and the Diet Solution Program.

I was very impressed by what I read and heard from other people who was struggling like I was until they found Isabel and the Diet Solution Program and it was only $47, so I just had to try it. It was guaranteed and I had nothing to lose except what I wanted and needed so desperately to lose.

I did it.

I had instant access to a wealth of diet information, diet tips, diet recipes. I learned first of all that there are different types of metabolisms and how to find out what type I was. I learned so many things about how to eat and especially what to eat and what not to eat, when to eat it. She guided me through the whole process the whole way.
I immediately found out 3 foods that I shouldn’t eat to lose weight and 3 foods I should eat to lose weight. I was so excited and secretly happy. I had the weapons and nobody knew it. I kept it a secret to everyone. I didn’t have to tell anyone.

My boyfriend and my family almost immediately could tell a difference. My skin was brighter, my hair was shinier, I was more vibrant and energetic and I glowed. Part of it was pride, I’m sure. But, I have never felt a higher high than during those first few months. I could literally see my pounds falling off! No, not really but it sure seemed like it. I felt lighter and everything.
I have now lost a whopping 36 pounds and I feel great and look good or do I look good and feel grrrrrrrrrreeeeeeeaaaaaaattt????

Looking back on it, it seemed easy. But I remember how hard it was at the time. I think the initial change in my diet was the most challenging for me. But it started becoming natural to me to pick up different foods at the store and put healthier things into my body. Some of her recipes had ingredients I didn’t like but I compromised.
Overall I can honestly say that the Diet Solution Program is a great product and Isabel sure knows her stuff.

Thanks for reading this! I hope you enjoyed my review and good luck!
